VERTEBRATES

Vertebrates have got a backbone and a skeleton inside them. They have an internal skeleton made of bones.

There are FIVE groups of vertebrates:

MAMMALS
BIRDS
FISH
REPTILES
AMPHIBIANS

MAMMALS
  • They are viviparous. They are born from their mother's womb
  • They have got hair and fur
  • They have got four legs but, however, some mammals have got wings (bat) or they haven't got legs (dolphin)
